• The Hawaiian Islands form an archipelago of 132 islands, atolls, reefs, shallow banks, shoals, and seamounts stretching over 1,500 miles in the Pacific Ocean. Only seven islands are inhabited.[1]

• The total population of Hawaii is 1.44M residents, just a fraction of the 9.2M visitors who came to the islands in 2022.[2]

• Oahu is the most populated island in Hawaii with almost 1M million residents. It houses the capital, Honolulu, and two-thirds of the state’s residents.[2]

• The Pearl Harbor National Memorial is located in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Oahu. It memorializes those who fell during the Japanese attack on the harbor on December 7, 1941 and is comprised of the USS Arizona, USS Oklahoma, and USS Utah Memorials.[3]

• Some of the largest surfing competitions in the world are held on Oʻahu’s North Shore in November and December, including the biggest of all, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.[4]
