- The Hawaiian Islands form an archipelago of 132 islands, atolls, reefs, shallow banks, shoals, and seamounts stretching over 1,500 miles in the Pacific Ocean. Only seven islands are inhabited.1

- Some of the largest surfing competitions in the world are held on Oʻahu’s North Shore in November and December, including the biggest of all, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.4
