Starting January 3, 2023, to retain your ability to invest on the Marketplace, you must update your Profile, Investing Account, and sign the Account Agreement. Once done, a member of the CrowdStreet team will review. To decrease your chances of revisions being needed, review the following criteria and requirements.
Within your Profile
- Complete all required fields including:
- Residence Status
- Country of Citizenship
- Marital Status
- Are you, your spouse, or any other dependents employed by, or associated with, a broker-dealer firm or a financial services regulatory agency?
- Upload a non-expired Government-issued photo ID, if not yet done.
- Ensure any previously-uploaded government-issued photo ID is not expired.
- Ensure the address on file is your current personal/physical address.
Within your Investing Account
If an individual, ensure:
- You’ve uploaded a valid accreditation letter under Accreditation verification.
If an entity, ensure:
- Required documents are uploaded to Supporting documents under Account details, including:
- Signed version of the Formation Documents.
- Signed version of formation or trust documents of any underlying entities or trusts.
- You’ve associated all required owners to the Investing Account as either an ‘Investor’ or ‘Signatory’ under Account members, including:
- All beneficial owners of more than 25% or any managers.
- If the entity is owned by a separate entity or trust, all beneficial owners of more than 25% or any managers of any underlying entities, or Grantors or Trustees with investment or decision-making authority.
If a trust, ensure:
- Required documents are uploaded to Supporting documents under Account details, including:
- Signed version of the trust documents.
- Signed version of formation or trust documents of any underlying entities or trusts.
- You’ve associated all required owners to the Investing Account as either an ‘Investor’ or ‘Signatory’ under Account members, including:
- All Grantors or Trustees with investment or decision-making authority.
- If the trust is owned by a separate entity, all beneficial owners of more than 25% or any managers of any underlying entities or Grantors or Trustees with investment or decision-making authority.
