Shaun Mulreed

Chief Operating Officer

Shaun Mulreed brings more than 18 years of experience in finance, legal, and operations functions across fintech, alternative asset management, and real estate finance sectors. His experience ranges from pre-launch start-ups to publicly traded companies and he has been instrumental in driving the growth, and ultimately, the acquisition of fintech businesses. 

Prior to his current role at CrowdStreet, Shaun served as COO at Syncracy Capital, a thesis-driven hedge fund focused on digital assets, where he established the company’s key operational and compliance functions. Before Syncracy, Shaun also served as COO of Starship, a direct-to-consumer fintech company, where he oversaw all financial, legal, and operational initiatives from the company’s A-round through its acquisition by United Healthcare. Earlier in his career, Shaun served as the first General Counsel for iCapital, a leading alternative investment marketplace for financial advisors, wealth managers, and asset managers.  Shaun joined iCapital prior to its public launch and designed the company’s legal and compliance processes while also playing a key role in corporate development and financing.

Shaun holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Fordham University.
